Functional Exercise Training

Therapists are increasingly being challenged to do more rehab in less time.  To succeed in this changing environment, evaluation must be more definitive and treatment interventions must be customized to meet the demands of the patient; to be functional for every patient.  This course will provide therapists with the tools to do just that.  Through demonstration and hands-on labs, functional assessments will be reviewd, functional training will be defined and discussed and a wide variety of exercise modalities will be on-site for student practice.  The review of theories such as the role of gravity, ground reactions, momentum and biomechanics as they relate to human movement will greatly enhance your ability to apply exercises which produce the most effective outcomes to improve posture, movement efficiency and overall muscular performance.
